ChallengeI need a product to help my students practice the extension and swing needed for serving.

Our newly re-designed Fence Trainer is the only suspended-ball serving training aid in tennis!

  • The Fence Trainer is simply the best training aid to practice the extension and swing needed for serving.
  • Use it alone or set it up as a "station" in group lessons or team practices.
  • The new and improved Fence Trainer sets up in seconds and is very easy to use.
  • Six height adapters adjust the Fence Trainer to players ranging in height from about 4 feet 6 inches to 6 feet tall.
  • The unit is designed to quickly hook over any 10-foot fence and attach easily with or without windscreens.

INSTRUCTIONAL NOTE: While all serves are hit with arc (unless you are nearly 7 feet tall), the upwards angle of the racquet at contact is subtle. While practicing your serve, feel the wrist flexing upwards towards the ball. This upwards swing is the primary source of racquet head speed, and by making subtle adjustments in wrist flexion, the precise angle of the racquet head at contact is determined and can be adjusted. In practical terms, the more open the racquet face at contact, the more ball arc is created that can send the ball too far. Likewise, if you serve a ball into the net, you will want to hit with more arc to get the net clearance needed to put the serve in the box. To do this, think "hit more upwards" and you should be able to contact the ball with a more open racquet face angle.
